CCMHS, established in 1969, employs 220 professional staff members
who assist those who are severely and/or persistently mentally ill ...
REGARDLESS OF ABILITY TO PAY.
With the main 40 acre campus located in Punta Gorda, CCMHS touches
every corner of the community. More than 2500 people - adults and
children- are seen annually.
CCMHS remains intensely focused on enhancing the quality of life
and helping those who cannot help themselves by making available high
quality mental health and substance abuse services.
Fees for services range from $15-$80 per session based on a sliding
scale with income verification required. Insurances, Medicaid and
Medicare are acceptable when available. When a person simply cannot pay,
services are given free of charge.
Agency funding is provided by the Florida Department of Children
and Families, and Charlotte County. Additional contracts are with the
School Board, Department of Corrections, and managed care companies.
Other funding sources include the United Way, grants, and contributions
from concerned citizens.
